- Identify the TYPE of reading you want first. This is super important. If you want to connect with a deceased loved one….you DON’T want to talk to a “love psychic”. You want a medium..:-) Many people pick poorly in this regard, simply because they don’t understand the distinctions. So have a goal in mind before you begin….and choose your reader accordingly.

- Set a Strict Time Limit for Testing: If you aren’t sure what sort of reader is best for you, try a few. But set a budget….AND a time limit. Narrow down your selections to 2 or 3, and simply allocate a little bit of money to each reading. (you can tell A LOT for 10, or 20 dollars with some of the prices offered these days by the better networks on introductory offers)

- Take COPIOUS notes: It’s okay to wait until after the reading is done….by write down what your impressions were. Accurate? Did you feel a bond or connection? Write down specific things the psychic said, so you can refer to them later when deciding if this is someone who “gets” you completely.

Remember…..we often have a tendency to forget specifics, and if you DON’T take notes, you’ll often find yourself picking readers to re-visit that you LIKED personally, but who might not have offered the most insightful information. (which in my view…is the most IMPORTANT part of the reading!)

Let’s talk about clairvoyance in this article. Why? Because there seems to be a whole bunch of myth, misinformation and simply misleading advice out there about what a clairvoyant is, and equally as important, what a clairvoyant is NOT. Simply stated, clairvoyance refers to the gathering of information using faculties outside of the 5 senses. So in most conventional definitions, MOST authentic psychics are clairvoyant. From a text book definition standpoint, clairvoyance means “clear seeing” and again, is sort of an umbrella or overarching term used to refer to ANYONE who demonstrates authentic psychic skill.

Some psychics will advertise themselves as clairvoyant, OVER and above their normal psychic abilities. In other words, as a way to sort of make it appear that they are “more” psychic than others, in an attempt to get your business.

Of course, as you probably already know from reading our articles, it is true….some psychics are FAR better than others. Some, including the ones that we recommend, are much more clairvoyant as well! When you think of hypnosis, you automatically get one of two mental pictures.
